ACS proudly unveiled its new Sorting Center in Aigaleo on Thursday, October 19th. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, the Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Konstantinos Kyranakis, the President of the Quest Group’s Board of Directors, Mr. Theodoros Fessas, the Vice President of the Quest Group’s Board of Directors, Ms. Efi Koutsourelis, and the CEO of the Quest Group and President of ACS, Mr. Apostolos Georgantzis. The event also welcomed high-profile representatives from local authorities, the business community, and ACS’s major clients.
The inauguration kicked off with a guided tour for media representatives, offering an insight into the state-of-the-art Sorting Center. A comprehensive press conference followed, providing detailed information on the capabilities and prospects of the Sorting Center, a facility that significantly enhances ACS’s operational capabilities.
Following the inauguration, ACS’s top executives hosted partners and agents for an exclusive opportunity to explore the new Sorting Center up close.
With a total investment of €50 million, the Sorting Center provides ACS with a production capacity of up to 50,000 shipments per hour, covering a vast area of 36,000 square meters.
In a brief address, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, Minister of National Economy and Finance, expressed his joy and congratulations, acknowledging the positive impact of the investment on shareholders, employees, and consumers. He emphasized the significance of such initiatives in aligning with technology and fostering innovation.
Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, Minister of Digital Governance, highlighted ACS’s digital transformation, symbolized by its evolving logo, and commended the Sorting Center as a technological marvel that contributes to a more modern and efficient working environment.
Mr. Theodoros Fessas, President of the Quest Group’s Board of Directors, commended ACS for its professionalism and efficiency, showcasing the company’s ability to manage up to 50,000 parcels per hour.
Ms. Efi Koutsoureli, Vice President of the Quest Group’s Board of Directors, expressed pride in ACS’s achievements and emphasized the role of ACS employees in shaping the future of transportation in Greece.
Mr. Apostolos Georgantzis, CEO of the Quest Group and President of ACS, outlined the impact of the new Sorting Center, quadrupling sorting capacity, reducing sorting time by over 50%, and improving overall operational efficiency by more than 30%. He underscored the positive implications for both employees and consumers.
The entire inauguration project, from communication with suppliers to implementation, and press office coordination, was successfully managed by Palladian Communication Specialists.
